Welaka sits right on the St. Johns River, a fishing town of riverfront homes, fish camps, and cottages where the humidity comes straight off the water. That constant moisture load is hard on AC systems — coils stay damp, drains clog faster, and a marginal unit struggles to pull the house down to a comfortable dew point.
